Manage wallets in QryptoPay
When you first set up the QryptoPay module, and later as you keep using it, you'll need to create and edit the wallets that receive payments from your customers. How to add a wallet in QryptoPay covers adding one; this article covers everything else you can do with a wallet — edit, enable, disable, and delete it.
Wallet list
The wallets section lists every wallet you've added — active and disabled — grouped by network: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Tron each get their own tab. Switch between tabs if you accept payments in more than one currency.
Each wallet's card already shows how much money is on it, which address receives payments, and — for Ethereum and Tron — where collected funds are sent, so you don't need to open editing just to check something. If there's no wallet on a network yet, or you need another one, Add wallet opens the creation dialog.
Wallet balance
The card shows three figures — how much money has moved through the wallet and how much of it is available right now. Main address balance is the money sitting directly on it. Total balance is the wallet's grand total, including funds on the addresses the panel issues to your customers for payment; it's always equal to or greater than the main address balance. For Ethereum and Tron, there's a third figure — Tokens — broken down per supported token, even if a token's balance is still zero.
If you're unsure how fresh the numbers are, hover over the clock icon next to the figure — the panel will show the date they're accurate as of.
Bitcoin and Litecoin
For Bitcoin and Litecoin, the panel calculates the balance itself — but only from the point this feature was added to QryptoPay, not from when you added the wallet. So a wallet added earlier may hold money the panel doesn't know about yet. To pick it up, hover over the wallet's card and click Refresh balances, then confirm in the dialog that opens.
⚠️ Refreshing adds load to payment processing
Don't run it without a reason — in one pass, the panel recalculates the wallet's entire payment history.
Even after a refresh, the balance may end up lower than the actual amount, but never higher: money that arrived without an invoice in QryptoPay, or before this feature existed, won't be picked up. For the exact amount, check your crypto wallet app.
Until you run a refresh for a wallet at least once, the balance shows Not calculated yet instead.
Ethereum and Tron
For Ethereum and Tron, the main address balance is a fee reserve — it covers the network fees for sending collected funds to the payout wallet, and you don't need to top it up manually: the panel reads the balance straight from the network. As the reserve runs low, the panel will let you know roughly how many payouts it still covers; once it runs out, it'll say so too, and customer funds stop reaching the payout wallet until you top up the reserve. By the way, the panel can also flag the reserve by email — turn on notifications (see Setting up QryptoPay email notifications) and pick what to be warned about when editing the wallet.
You decide how much to keep for fees and at what point to sweep collected funds to the payout wallet — in the Fee reserve threshold and Payout threshold fields (when creating the wallet, or later, when editing it). Until a sweep happens, funds collected from customers show up in the total balance but not in the main address balance — so if the two figures diverge noticeably, the difference is customer money that hasn't been sent to payout yet.
Creating a wallet
If there's no wallet on the network you need yet, or you need another one, click Add wallet. Filling in the fields for each network — the extended public key for Bitcoin and Litecoin, the private key for Ethereum and Tron — is covered in detail in How to add a wallet in QryptoPay.
Editing a wallet
Open Edit wallet to change the name or the notification email — you can't change the blockchain; a different network needs its own wallet.
For Bitcoin and Litecoin, you can't change the public key or address format you set at creation, so instead of editing, you can delete the current wallet and create a new one.
Ethereum and Tron give you more room to change. The payout wallet is the address collected funds are sent to; it must be on the same blockchain, and a new address takes effect starting with the next payout. The payout threshold and fee reserve threshold are set in dollars, not coins — the panel converts at the current rate itself.
This is also where you pick what to be warned about by email, and it's worth turning everything on: the reserve running low, the reserve running out and payouts pausing, and — for Tron — a customer's address failing to activate, again because the reserve was empty. That last one matters most: if the Tron reserve runs dry, the panel can't activate an address for a customer, and they'll run into trouble paying. So an empty reserve doesn't just block payouts — it blocks incoming payments too.
Enabling and disabling a wallet
Use the toggle on the card to disable a wallet. A disabled wallet stops taking part in payments — its addresses are no longer issued to new customers — but everything you've configured, and its whole history, stays intact. This is handy when you need to stop accepting payments on a network temporarily, for example while you're changing the payout wallet.
Deleting a wallet
Click the delete icon on the card — the Confirm wallet deletion dialog opens, warning that deleting the wallet may disrupt receiving customer payments and withdrawing funds you've already collected. To confirm, type the wallet's name into the field below: the Delete button only becomes active on an exact match.
‼️ Deleting doesn't restore the wallet
A wallet with these keys and addresses can't be recovered — but you can add a new wallet for the same network any time you need one.
